The boundaries between physicality and new virtual realities are becoming increasingly weak. The latter, which have been incorporated into our lives for decades, have reached such a level of development that they are in a process of complete mimicking with reality, and are completely changing the way we previously perceived the world. Digits speaks of this virtual symbiosis, but also of death (or, rather, non-death) in the virtual landscape, where the most similar thing we can find is the blue window that appears on the computer when it stops working. Thus, in an increasingly digitalized world, the emblematic meadow of Windows is constituted as the Garden of Eden of the 21st century, where things do not die but freeze, and in turn we ourselves become ghosts of digits, the same ones that make up the landscape and that lead us to wander restlessly through this universe of numbers.
This work was premiered at the INTERSECCIÓN 2022 edition (A Coruña) and later shown at the Bideodromo International Experimental Film and Video Festival 2023 and the CUVO Video Art Festival 2024.
Since 2024, it has been part of the HAMACA video archive.
